A number beats an opinion.
We own VALD force plates and dynamometers, and they do two different jobs. Force plates measure what your body does against the ground: how much force you produce in a jump or a squat, how that force splits between your left and right side, and how you balance and distribute weight when you stand. Dynamometers measure how much force a specific muscle group can produce, one side at a time.
The reason we bought them is simple. A good clinician watching you squat can see a great deal, but cannot see that your right leg is quietly doing more of the work than your left. Testing turns that into a number, and a number can be compared: to your other side, to your own result last month, to where you need to be. That is the difference between thinking you are progressing and knowing it.
Simple tests. Immediate numbers.
The Tests
You stand on the force plates for balance and weight distribution, perform a few basic movements like a jump or a squat, and press or pull against a dynamometer. Wear something you can move in. Nothing is invasive and nothing is exhausting.
The Numbers
Results come back immediately, and your Doctor of Physical Therapy goes through them with you: how much force you produced, how it split left to right, where the gap is. No lab wait, no jargon dump.
The Retest
Same tests, same equipment, later date. One test is a snapshot. Two tests are evidence, and that comparison is what tells us whether your program is working or needs changing.
